I did a bit of priming today, but don't see myself having any time for painting, so I thought I would post a shot of my entire Idoneth force as it sits today, before I head off on vacation for a week.
Contrast and speedpaint tonight. I am hoping to do some highlighting tomorrow, but in my mind I have written off this miniature, and I do not like it. Well, the miniature is fine, I do not like how I painted it, maybe more specifically the colour choices are both busy, but also lacking in depth.
Man, this is really dragging. At this rate it could be another week before I finish, and I am leaving town for almost a week on Sunday. I would love to get this guy done before I leave. Applied some metallics, some Vallejo Dark Sand on the on the seating structure, and slapped a bit of white here and there for future slapchopping.
Well, back on the shark train tonight. I did a wash of Contrast Space Wolves Grey mixed 1:1 with Speedpaint medium over all the shark skin. It mostly worked how I wanted to, but I missed few pools, and a couple of bizarre splotches. Nature is weird is what I will say if someone asks. I decided to do the seating contraption as some sort of whale bone, which I saw in a picture somehwhere, so starting by giving it a white coating. I also did the Topaz Skin/ Reikland Flesh shade work on the skin of the riders.
