Thralls Batch 1 - Armour and skin
Same recipe as before for the skin, but I am going to put it down again, just to reinforce it. Vallejo Pale Blue Grey base, Drakenhof Nightshade 2:1 with Speedpaint Medium wash, then a thin layer of the base colour back over top. Next will be the Citadel Wraithbone highlight.
For the hero, basecoat of Army Painter Topaz Skin, wash with straight Citadel Reikland Fleshshade, highlight with 1:1 thinned mix of Topaz Skin and Leopard Stone Skin (Army Painter), followed by a bit of thinned Leopard Stone Skin.

Nice! I do have two questions. 1. Are the Tidecaster's eyes closed? Or just not done yet? 2. I just noticed the pinned eel familiar for the Tidecaster! Sweet!
ReplyDeleteHm... maybe a stretch goal for painting these guys is to add a transparent cylinder up from the base that you fill with water, or maybe a transparent resin that cures into place. 😀
They are closed, thankfully. I hate painting eyes. Which makes this a great army for me.
ReplyDeletePotentially one of the reasons I chose to paint an army of celestial lizard daemons and give them otherworldly eyes. 😀
