Shark Week DISASTER!
I wasn't feeling it for the old sharkie boy this evening, so I went back to my terrain piece. Now that it was all brown, I knew I need to give it a black wash, but the thought of the cost involved was putting me off. So I found a super cheap black wash recipe from Black Magic Craft, which in turn led me to an improved version he had done. As it turns out, I had all of the required ingredients. Blending Medium, Flow-aid, black ink and even water! If I had to buy this, it would not have been a cheap wash, but as the monery was already spent, it felt free.
Insert exciting picture of washed boat half that looks slightly darker than the other half. This is a slow job, and the flow-aid was put in a bit heavy I suspect, as I am getting a lot of bubbles.
I will give this a drybrush afterwards, to bring back some highlights, and knock back the shine.

So there's was no disaster, right? You know I'm going to click everything you post - you don't need to bait me in. But if you insist upon it, and least throw in a red arrow pointing at some random element of the photo. ;)
ReplyDeleteOh sorry, was just riffing off the Lords of War clickbait titles, where they proceed to just be reasonable people with the discussion rarely having anything to do with eye catching title. You wouldn't know this of course. I will return to regular broadcasting.
ReplyDeleteI've watched a few of their things. And they've generally been much as you say. But then I also actively avoid them based on the titles. I go back occasionally because Jay always remembers my name even though Im only in there once every year or two.
