A change of pace
So I thought I would be able to finish the third eel skin this evening, but that is not what happened. Instead I thought I would quickly airbrush a couple of the manifestation minis first. I mean, it is an airbrush, so it would be really quick.
Started with the usually zenithal white over black. Followed that up with an undershade of Shyish Purple Contrast. Then I found an old bottle of Sea Blue paint, made in Canada no less! The Color Drop System (yes, they spelled color that way) by Global Games. I had a heck of a time getting the paint out. I could hear it, and it sounded like it was in good shape, but the nozzle was terribly clogged. Except it wasn't clogged, but was so old you had to literally cutoff the end up the nozzle like it was a tube of caulking ;)
Anyway, it is a really nice paint, too bad I can't get more. I sprayed it from above, and stopped to look at my handywork. Clearly it needed some drybrushing, so that happened next. Then I thought it wasn't quite popping enough, so I gave them a wash of Magic Blue Speedpaint heavily thinned with medium. Then they look like they needed drybrushing again :|
I feel like I should have taken a picture before the Magic Blue wash to see if anything was actually gained. So out of time, the eel will have to wait for another day.
