It's finally here: Shark Week!

So I decided since one of my completed riders from last week was actually a shark rider that I would go ahead and finish the Eel rider while also getting my first shark done.

I did the usual zenithal, but decided to go "Great White" with the colour scheme, with a light underbelly of Wolf Grey from Vallejo, and an above with State Grey from AP.  Sadly I think the State Grey is a bit light, and doesn't give me much room for highlighting.  I also need to protect the underbelly white a bit better.  So I am going to go back over it again before doing any work on the shark's armour and accessories.

  1. The photo makes it a bit difficult to see what you mean. My current phone does the same thing: it focuses on too narrow a distance so I end up with one part of the minis, or the foremost one of several, in crisp focus and everything else blurred. But I did find more success by using the 3x zoom from a bit further back. 3x because that's it's best physical zoom before it starts adding digital.

On the other hand, Steven Spielberg did something very similar in Jaws by only showing tiny bits of the shark until the very end, including one scene that uses camera focus and distance as part of the plot development. So maybe follow Spielberg instead of me. 😀 https://youtu.be/D3PcFuLPhG4?si=xD4O-_DuLu681HPA

  2. Also, "That's a shark! And I know what a shark looks like because I've seen one up close!"

And, "I think we're gonna need a bigger boat..."
