Thralls Batch 2 - Speeding along

Today was largely a speed painting day.  I did AP Dark Wood Speedpaint for the weapon handles, thinned 1:1 with medium, as well as Akhelion Green Contrast 1:1 with medium for the clothes.  The weapons themselves were painted with AP Broadsword Silver Speedpaint.  I finished up with a very quick application of my usual orange blends for the tassles front and back.  They will end up blending in with the crotch cloaks, so I made little effort.  I considered making them a different colour, but I felt it would make the models look too busy.

I should be able to complete this unit and hero by the end of the weekend, if all goes to plan.

  1. I like the one with the hat! (Ref: 1980s African Lion Safari commercial - it's a giraffe picking his favourite human on the tour bus - but in this case, I actually wanted to say I liked the one with the axe, but I felt that didn't narrow it down enough, so I reverted to the classic hat and let it just mean Lotann)

    1. He is so hard to paint. I got blue all over the octopus. Well, not literally, as your eyes will disprove that statement, but I have a lot of touch up work to do. It will be a slow task painting that sucker. Err, those suckers.
